Ralph says:You wrote that Becker was “rejected” by a 52-33 vote in the Senate. That is a highly misleading statement. The 52 votes were in favor of voting for Becker, but were not sufficient to overcome a filibuster. Thus, it was really 52-33 in favor of appointing Becker. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but at least give an honest presentation of the facts.
